Okay so I really dislike the fact that blogger doesn't actually show my pics anymore when I upload them until I publish it.

Homemade Lanudry Soap!

I just washed my first batch of laundry with my homemade soap. this recipe is floating around on a lot of different blogs. My clothes smelled and looked clean and a chocolate milk stain even came out.

Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap. For top or front load washing machines.

4 Cups Hot tap water
1 bar Fels-Naptha soap ($1.00 a bar)
1 c Arm and Hammer Super Washing soda ( it was about $3.00 for the whole box)
1/2 C borax (about $3.00 a box)

grate soap and add to sauce pan with water. Melt over medium-low heat stirring often.

Fill a 5 gallon bucket half way with hot tap water. Add soap, borax, and washing soda. Stir until dissolved. Then fill the bucket up the rest of the way with hot water and stir well. Cover and let sit overnight to thicken and gel up.

Stir then using a used cleaned laundry soap bottle fill it up half way with soap and the other half with more water. Shake then use:)

Makes 10 gallons.

Top load washing machines use 5/8 c per load (about 180 loads)

Front load washing machines use 1/4 c per load (about 640 loads)

Make sure to shake before each use.

*must use washing soda. Baking soda will not work.

If you had to buy a bucket and everything you can get everything for under $20. The box of soda and borax will probably make 5 recipes. I bought a couple extra bars of soap so I have everything on hand when I need it. I also used a gamma lid on my bucket to make it more convenient.

okay here is a post.

Okay my only excuse is those darn knitting needles get glued to my hands:) I have given up okay just limited my bloging/computer using. I usually just do a quick check from my phone and hardly ever spend time on the computer. I am addicted to knitting. I am also trying to knit a lot of christmas gifts. I am taking some knitting classes. Plus all the other projects I want to do.

Donny had a bday he turned 31.

We decided against sending Italia to preschool this year but I do some "school" at home with her so I made a big deal about the first day and got her up and and ready and took pics.
