Random Pics

SO my mom had some clothes hanging up to dry and Italia thought it would be fun to try them out.

This is right after nap time so pardon the hair. Do you see the sweater on the floor.

Trying to wear grandma's clothes
a cute hair do I did the other day
I know this is a nice smile right:)
I thought this was funny since we fixed the sleep thing Italia rarely falls asleep on the couch but she must have been extra tired this day and she was watching a movie and I checked on her about 1 min before this then I walked away and came back to find her asleep. Notice her "cars" these have gone to bed with her on occasion as well.

Sickness is Gone

Well I think it is over, hopefully. I did end up getting sick but thankfully I didn't get it as bad as Italia or Donny.

Instead of discussing all the negative there are a lot of things to be thankful for during this illness.

1. Donny was home when Italia got sick and was able to stay up and help
2. Donny got sick on his days off so yes he couldn't work on the house but at least he didn't have to take non pay sick days
3. I got sick on a day Donny could help me with Italia and I was okay enough when he went back to work to make it through the day.

The sickness is on to Donny

Where did this come from I just hope I don't get it(fingers crossed) and if I do get it I hope I get it on a day or night that some one can help with Italia. I also hope Mom or Scott don't get it. Donny says it is horrible and now feels even worse for Italia then he did before. This really messes things up cause Donny is suppose to go finish clean up from insulation tomorrow and also drive to Twin Falls to be with his little bro who is getting his endowments out. At least Donny can puke in the toilet and not on me or the floor. (hopefully)

Sick Italia....Very Very Long Night

Disclaimer: The following is graphic in nature and includes disgusting descriptions

Proceed at your own risk

So Yesterday was a normal day. Italia went to bed at normal time and went to sleep fairly well. Donny and I went to bed a little after 10. Then at about 11:30 all hell broke lose. I remember thinking that sounds like someone threw up, but I disregarded it. Then Italia started calling my name but I was hoping she would go back to sleep on her own but after a minute or two I knew she wouldn't. So I got up and then as I approached her crib I smelled it. PUCK. So I turned on the lights and got everything cleaned up new sheets, new pjs, Donny had to change cause she got some on him. And while I was cleaning up she was playing in our room and running around not acting sick at all. So I took her to the family room to see if I could get her to settle down. After a few minutes I returned to our room and was getting ready to put her down when she gagged so I took her back out think I need to give her a minute. I grabbed a bowl and a towl then turned the lights out and was walking back to our room when she started pucking again. Donny came out to help me and I had caught some in the bowl but not all of it since it was dark. She threw up a couple times with that episode then Donny took her to give her a bath cause she was covered. I proceeded to clean up cause it was a big mess.

Then after the bath we all settled on the couch for a few moments thinking "This to shall pass" Italia is a throw upper she throws up a lot but most of the time it is a one time thing because she was crying and makes herself gag and sometimes throw up or because she gets a head cold and all the mucus going down her throat makes her throw up. After one more little episode she was so tired so we figured we would try to put her to bed. She layed right down and with in two minutes I heard her again so we jumped up and got the cleaned up and went back out to the family room. After a few minutes we decided I would go back to bed but with in seconds I was being beconed again to help clean up. Then a few minutes later we decided Donny would go lay down and within minutes we need him back. (another major episode)

By this point we have now determined both of us are in for a all nighter. I was sure gald Donny was home because after/during when she was throwing up she wanted held and cuddled then one of us would need to clean up the mess as one of us comforted her. Donny did most of the cuddling and I got to do most of the clean up. She was throwing up hard about every 15 mins. We felt so bad for her cause we couldn't do anything. She was throwing up so hard that sometimes she would stop breathing for a moment. We got her to drink some so she could throw up instead of dry heaving with some mucus coming up but then she refused to drink cause she figured out she would throw up more if she drank. A little after 2am we finally got her to sleep on the floor. Donny camped out next to her and I was on the couch then she would start gagging every 45 mins or so and we would hold her over a bowl as she threw up it was so sad. She just wanted to be held or sleep but she had to throw up she could even stand up we and to hold her. Then I would get her back to sleep just to do it again later.

After about 20 pj changes for Italia a couple for both Donny and I 4 loads of laundry and many towels, blankets, a box of wipes and a bottle of carpet cleaner we made it to 8:30am That thankfully was the last throw up and hasn't thown up since. We think maybe she had food poisoning but who knows. She has been pretty good today beside she doesn't want to eat and she is a little cranky and demanding. But so am I.

HOuse Update

So our house is still going. Sometimes lately it has felt like we have been working on it forever...wait...we have:) Nov/Dec were a little slow because of the holidays/weather/and my Dad is in phoenix. This last week my Dad came back for the week to help us finish up all the little things before inspection so we can move on to sheet rock. And of course we have had some set backs. We got the electrical inspection done and passed the framing inspection guy came but he wouldn't sign off till we got all the others signed off:( We got the HAVOC done. Now we are just waiting on the plumbing people(who are taking their time) as soon as that is passed I can call the framing guy back. As soon as everything is passed the insulators can come in and do their thing then we have to clean up so the sheet rockers can come. Once they are here it will take 3 or 4 weeks and hopefully during this time we can get all our ducks in a row so that we can finish quickly.

Riding "Bare" Back

So this morning after Italia woke up she went potty then I put a diaper on her but I didn't put her pants back on because I was going to get her dressed in a few minutes. I then proceed to check my email real quick and when I turned around she had her diaper off. She then proceeded to get on the horse. I had to grab a pic. She will probably kill me when she is older:)

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve was fun. Donny had his company party, it was at the Collage. A very fancy upscale restaurant. It was fun for me cause I have been wanting to go to one of those very fancy restaurants, you know the kind that has a Chef not just a cook:) And I liked it even better cause it was on someone elses tab. We got to try some new things. For appetizers they order a couple plates of a garlic basil shrimp and escargot so we got to try that and surpisingly good. I was worried it would be rubbery but it wasn't it was creamy. For our second course Donny and I shared lobster bisque. It was pretty good. Then Donny ordered a buffalo ribeye with sweet potato towers that had white truffle oil in them (those were gross) he liked his steak though. I had a herb goat cheese stuffed chicken breast. It was the most moist chicken ever. I also had mushroom rossotto. Then for dessert Donny and I shared homemade chocolate chipotle ice cream. It wasn't that great Donny said the one way to ruin ice cream is to make it spicy. But I was glad we got to try a lot of new things that we normally wouldn't.
Then we went back to his boss' house and played games with them and thier daughter and her husband. We had a good time then we left and came home and rang in the New Year with Mom and Scott. with breakfast burritos. Also good note Italia went to bed with no problem for my mom :)
